Elena Davydova

MSW

I am originally from Moscow, Russia. Being an immigrant, I understand the unique challenges that can make one feel isolated and misunderstood. This experience has made me increasingly aware of just how important it is to be culturally sensitive. My life has taken many sharp turns, including losing a parent at a young age, becoming a mother of four, and pursuing a career in an entirely new field later in life. I’ve embraced and turned toward my experiences through the ups and downs instead of away from them. These challenges have led me to volunteer as a crisis line counselor and eventually to pursue an MSW degree. One of the main values driving my life is using my privilege and opportunities to help others. Everyone deserves a space where they can authentically be without fear of judgment.

I believe that each one of us needs someone in our corner who will truly hear and see us. My goal is to meet you where you are. I am a strong believer that we all walk different paths, and support might look different to all of us. I approach each client, knowing how hard it can be to open up and trust me with their story.

I am particularly interested in working with Russian-speaking immigrants and refugees and providing trauma-informed services to all my clients. I am interested in acquiring skills in EMDR and working with adults who are seeking to overcome trauma.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and my children, who are mostly all grown up. I find relaxation and practice self-care through regular meditation and swimming. I take clown classes at the Clown School of San Francisco in my spare time. Volunteering is also a big part of my life.

I deliver services in both English and Russian.
