Amie J. Sherrill-Pierce has been a licensed counselor for five years, gaining experience working with adults, children, teens, and couples. She graduated from Spring Arbor University in 2010 with a Master's of Arts in Counseling. She completed her internship as well as several years as a professional counselor at Catholic Charities in Jackson, MI, gaining valuable experience in areas including depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, relationship reconciliation, domestic violence, postpartum issues, autism spectrum, grief and loss, and personality disorders. She is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Specialist (CSOTS) and has experience working with clients on parole or probation for criminal sexual conduct related offenses.
Amie is a member in good standing with the National Association of Forensic Counselors.
Amie believes in the power of people and in our God-given ability to grow past our perceived limits. She also believes that when a person is given a fish, he is fed for a day, but when a person is taught how to fish, he can feed himself for a lifetime.
